2013 Ford Taurus SHO Performance Package
The 2013 Ford Taurus SHO Performance Package has been developed to meet the needs of customers who wish to push the boundaries of high-performance driving. The Performance Package is anchored by an improved cooling system that adds durability, dynamics and performance enhancements to deliver the ultimate Taurus driving experience.
Package-specific sport-tuned suspension with unique dampers and springs provides superior road-holding across speed ranges. Stiffer springs combine with unique shock absorber damper valve calibration to increase vehicle traction and driver control.
When the SHO Performance Package is specified, the AdvanceTrac® ESC (electronic stability control) is fitted with a true off mode, so an experienced enthusiast can push the car to dynamic extremes without unwanted stability control intervention.
SHO Performance Package includes specific electric power-assisted steering (ePAS) calibration to offer the performance enthusiast direct communicative steering with increased resistance, more precise response and enhanced self-centering at speed.
Performance Package braking is enhanced with the addition of highperformance brake pads that are more resistant to fade under severeduty use. Track-tuned 18-inch brake calipers improve pedal response. These brake components work in harmony to deliver a firm – yet easyto-modulate – brake pedal under extreme performance conditions. Taurus SHO Performance Package comes with 20-inch machined and painted premium wheels fitted with 245/Yr20 summer performance tires and a tire mobility kit.
SHO Performance Package features a 3.16 to 1 final drive ratio – as opposed to 2.77 to 1 gearing in the standard Taurus SHO – enabling more responsive off-the-line acceleration.
